communications and sailing fields. It is a unique blend of business savvy,
high-tech communications expertise, and on-the-water sailing experience.
CAM
LEWIS
– Skipper - World class sailor, author, public speaker, original holder
of the Trophee Jules Verne Record. Cam is known throughout the sailing community
as a top racing skipper, able to extract the most from his team and boat.
He is a past winner of the America’s Cup & holds numerous ocean
sailing records and world titles.
LARRY
ROSENFELD
– Navigator & Executive Director – Larry is a software entrepreneur
who took his company public and then sold to Oracle in 1998. He was co-navigator
on The Race in 2001 and is the business manager and co-founder of Team Adventure.
MICHAEL
SHETZER
– Director of Development - Michael is an international businessman
who has helped both Team Adventure and the International Child Art Foundation
(www.icaf.org) raise funds for their respective programs.
TOMMY
GONZALEZ
– Boat Captain – Tommy takes meticulous care of the big cat.
He has thousands of miles of ocean racing and sailing experience, a 1,600-ton
license and a stint as a Hollywood stunt man for Pierce Brosnan in the Thomas
Crown Affair.
BRIAN
HANCOCK
- Communications/PR - After 20 years as a professional sailor Brian has
parlayed that experience into a career as a writer now working on his 6th
book. He has done communications for Team Adventure, the Around Alone and
the Oryx Quest 2005.
